I was a little worried about the sketchy website and spending that much money. I did a little bit of research and contacted generac to verify that they were an authorized dealer which they are. I placed the order Tuesday afternoon and after about four or five days I was beginning to wonder if I should contact the bank and reverse the charges since I haven't received any shipping information. On the 5th business day I received tracking information and received the generator on the 6th day. The unit was a brand new unit even though it's branded as refurbished with zero hours on it. I believe since it was a discontinued model they sold them as refurbished units. The day after I installed the unit we had a power failure that lasted about 4 hours and the generator worked flawlessly. I wouldn't be afraid to recommend the same purchase to a friend or relative. Customer service on factory Piers in is so so at best. It seems that they get short with you when you ask questions on the online chat or they just stop responding altogether. In my opinion the generator would receive five stars but the customer service at factory pure is about two stars.
we bought one of these refurb'd units thru factory pure about a year ago.
only really needed it once, but when I did, it ran my whole house including
my 2 ton AC.
and btw, I also bought the additional add-on warranty for 5 years. haven't
needed it, but it's there if I do.....
