Love this generator. I buy these for customers. Easy to put together and run great and will be buying more in the future
I almost closed the webpage without a purchase, but a salesman stepped in and professionally closed the deal. Good product and good follow up.
Electrical Engineer who specifies commercial generators, and I spent months evaluating options and planning for a backup generator. I considered whole home, portable, propane, nat gas, and gasoline options. Factory Pure was always part of the option list due to the availability and pricing. I ended up wanting 5% THD or less but didn't want an inverter type generator (due to size). The unit I originally wanted was no longer available so I got a call and a helpful rep discussed options and they had my 2nd choice (nearly equal, one feature difference). Shipping was very fast once the order was finalized.
Generator arrived in a crate and shipping delivered it at the end of my 200yd driveway where I wanted it. The parts box looked new, the accessories were boxed up to look like new. Assembly of wheels and handle was required. Manual was a reproduction, but complete. Generator had 4.9 hours on it. I added the supplied engine oil, put in good non-ethanol gas, connected the battery, and the generator fired up and ran perfectly. It looks like it's brand new, other than screw threads showing signs of having been used once before.
Very happy with the decision to use Factory Pure. The generator isn't available in stores right now and an 8kW+ electronic fuel injection portable genset with low THD is what I wanted.
The machine is great and Factory Pure provided a great price and speedy delivery. My only complaints are that although the machine came from the Generac factory it was missing some parts. Albeit the parts are minor, nevertheless, you would expect the a Generac refurbished machine, inspected at the factory would include all the parts. My second complaint is that the machine was damn hard to get started initially. After much effort, I called the Generac help line and was told a minimum of one gallon of gasoline was needed in the tank before the machine would start. Once i filled it up, it started. One would expect important information like that would be in the instruction manual.
Ran it for about 20 minutes to test it the first day I received it. Started and ran fine. Today I put a load on it and it instantly flashed a fault code that generac could not decipher and shut off. Hasn't turned back on since. Extremely disappointed, now I have to lug this 200+ lb generator to a dealer where they will look at it in person and hopefully honor their warranty.
