I purchased the Sea Eagle FT 385 (Solo Package) and was originally disappointed with the quality and craftsmanship of the kayak. There was glue seeking out of the seams of the hull, drop stitch floor, and around the air valves. The drop stitch floor was also damaged with a 3” scrape that seemed to be caused by some type of heat. I reached out to Sea Eagle and their customer never was extremely slow and not very professional. However, FactoryPure.com saw my original review, contacted me right away, and they were able to reach out to Sea Eagle and expedite my concern; a 5-star review for FactoryPure.com. The return/exchange process for a new kayak took 3 weeks as the kayak had to be sent to the Sea Eagle company in New York; I live in California. 3 weeks later, I have a new kayak with the superb craftsmanship that I was expecting the first time; the seams are perfectly attached, and the kayak is super smooth, clean, and top-notch. Maybe they had originally sent me a used one? With that said, I was able to compare both kayaks with the pictures that I took. It’s important to note that the first kayak that I was sent was a 2021 model (1st) and the second one is a 2022 model (2nd). One noticeable difference between both kayaks is that the drop stitch flooring was vastly different, the first one was wider and shorter than the second one and also didn't fit properly inside the main hull. The 1st one had all stainless-steel metal d-rings, however, the 2nd kayak has some plastic d-rings incorporated at the bow and stern. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my new Sea Eagle FT kayak and the customer support that FactoryPure.com provided me with, but not so happy with the Sea Eagle customer experience.
