Zoom Scale
I was not going to purchase another SoleusAir product due to the servicing options require shipment to their repair facilities. However, the saddle design of this unit was way too interesting to resist, and it delivers! Installation was interesting, but it will go much easer next season. Breaking it down for winter storage was a snap. My only criticism is the lack of indoor bracing, so I just used a few rolled up socks stuffed between it and the wall to firm it up from being tippy. I have the unit tilted/sloped about a quarter inch to the outside, so have had not any issues with it leaking. It might be a problem in a high humidity environment, but in Washington State we do not have the same humidity as down south along the Gulf. We got the unit late in the session, so it will be interesting to see how it does during a heat wave. Long story short, I really like this unit, we installed it in the bedroom and I did not notice the compressor at night for several days. It is a little noisy outside, but nice and quiet inside the room where it really matters. The unit cools well, and have found the sleep mode does a good job, and I even like the energy saver for when I’m not in the room. We have a ductless heat pump for the main rooms, this unit is very similar in function. I am also very pleased with having most of our window unblocked, and the size of the unit inside the room.

The lower profile of the unit does much to keep the view from the window open. Quiet on the lower settings and still does a good job of cooling the rooms.
I opened box. but found out my window wall is too wide. I have no time to contact the factory for the refund yet.
I love the style on this air condition however, for those homes that are built in the 60s and have front brick facing, this air condition is not long enough to fit over the facing. I was about to send back the air condition but I was able to use it in my son's room. It would be nice if you can create one that is longer.
With ever increasing humid hot nights in New England, we caved in for our first ever AC. Life changer. Only had three weeks but already worth it. Fairly quiet, fairly easy install. Gets turned on to dehumidify shortly before bed time. Dries out room quickly. Thinking of getting one for living area downstairs.
