Starter battery.

I don't use the supplied battery. I substituted a larger capacity car battery with more starting power. The supplied battery is not sufficient for cold weather starts. I also built a sound dampening enclosure, (adequately ventilated), as the unit is very noisy.

Has always worked great, but...

This generator has performed very well for many years. The only recurring issue is that I've had to replace the starter solenoid a few times. Other than that, I prefer running it on LP.

5 years old

On my 5th year with this generator. I lose my power for extended periods at least 6 times per year. I have a generlink transfer switch that allows me to power my entire home less electric oven and clothes dryer. This generator has performed flawlessly, and I highly recommend it to anyone. This generator and transfer switch has a been a blessing for my home.
