Product Overview
The ABAC AB5-2180VP pairs a 5 HP motor with a belt-driven T39 two-stage pump to deliver 16.6 CFM at its maximum pressure of 175 PSI. Part of the 2-Stage Hybrid Pro range, this 230V single-phase compressor supports shop applications including grinding, impact wrenching, fastening and tire inflation. Its hybrid pump combines aluminum construction with cast iron cylinders and inner cooling technology, while aluminum heads and aftercoolers help dissipate heat and remove moisture. A factory-fitted magnetic starter helps protect the motor and pressure switch from overamping damage during frequent, demanding starts. The 80 gallon vertical ASME tank includes safety valves, and the compressor also features a fully enclosed belt guard and start/stop pressure switch control.
