Well, first off they have some different way of measuring 5" than most people. If you measure across the end of a 5" limb with a tape and it says 5" this machine will not do the job. 3" and less your good on most woods. Their claim to 5" is a lie. I have already challenged the company to come to my farm and meet with me. So far nothing. Overall, it does help. If you do not get out of the way, because of the high angle of the shoot, the limbs will slap crap out of you. Any machine called commercial will have a shoot that is lower and more of a straight in shoot and will feed itself just fine. This unit will bog way down and also lock up with larger than 3 inches. Its built decent, However the drum area will fill with water and has no drainage capabilities if you get caught by a rain storm. They need to keep the hard hat, face shield, ear muffs, their cheap junk. I can get better at Walmart. You must cut all your limbs as if pruning, large forks will not squeeze together enough to get through the bottom of the shoot to the cutting drum. The OSHA safety cut off works and is good when the drum locks up. I'll be glad to provide videos to anyone wanting one.
