Champion 200977 3500W/4250W Generator Dual Fuel Inverter Open Frame New
Product Overview
First, we cut the noise level in half by integrating Quiet Technology digital components used in more advanced inverters, then we created an efficient mechanical design to decrease the overall footprint and weight by 20 percent.
Operate your Dual-Fuel generator on gasoline or propane and safely switch fuels with our patented fuel selector dial.
Using gasoline, the 224cc Champion engine produces 4250 starting watts and 3500 running watts, and will run for 22 hours at 25% load when the 4-gallon fuel tank is full. It produces 4250 starting watts and 3150 running watts, and will run for 21 hours at 25% load when using a 20-pound propane tank. A 6-foot propane hose with a built-in regulator is included.
Cold Start Technology ensures reliable starts, Intelligauge monitors voltage, frequency and operating hours, while smart Economy Mode monitors the electrical load to reduce engine speed, noise, and fuel consumption.
Confidently connect your sensitive electronics since this inverter produces Clean Power (less than 3% THD).

Customer Reviews
Ordered this a year ago and Milton made me put it to use. I only needed 2500W but it's better to be over capacity with an inverter. Propane doesn't go bad and it is much easier on the engine cylinder and piston rings. I actually bartered 5gal gasoline for propane when my neighbor team low. I don't plan on using gasoline except as a last resort. Easily powered refrigerator, chest freezer, battery charging, along with microwave, hot plate, or toaster oven use. One 20 lb tank gives me about 2 days of running about 15 hours. Starts easily. Open frame for easy access and better cooling.
NOTE: let it run for an hour before the first oil change, then change at 3 hours, and again at 8. I was surprised at the metal particles in the first two changes, third head a small amount. Changed at 18 hours and it looked clean. Rotella 10W-30 or Synthetic is my choice. Basically zero blow by at 30 hours!
I posted in March. This is a follow up. We got caught off guard by hurricane Beryl. I planned using propane exclusively, but after the hurricane, it is nearly non existent. So, I filled it and selected gasoline with propane bottle off. It would not start. I disconnected propane hose from generator and it started with no issues. It has been running for 6 days, stopping only to refuel, check and CHANGE OIL…. We use CPAP machines a need AC in this Houston heat while we are living in our 31’ RV… I would not recommend for crowded campgrounds . Great for boondocking and emergencies like now… Highly recommend
Purchased to use with RV. It runs everything in RV with clean sine wave We use CPAP's and need clean power. I use propane only . I sold my old Champion 3500-4000 watt generator that was not inverter and 16 years old. It still runs great and sold it to my plumber. I figure it cost me 83¢ a month. Also have Champion trash pump. Champion products are good.
I ordered a Champion Open Frame Inverter Dual Fuel Generator (Model 200977) and it was delivered on-time from FactoryPure with no discernable damage. I also ordered an extra wheel kit from another vendor, assembled both, put some oil in the generator, and fired it up. I used propane to run the generator and was pleased that it didn't sound too loud. The generator is intended to provide back-up power to my home so hopefully I won't have to use it much. For the initial start-up, I ran it for about 5-10 minutes on propane before storing it for the "next" power outage. It's one of those purchases I hope I won't have to use much but it's good that it's there and ready just in case. I plan on running it every few months just to test it and keep the engine lubricated. With propane, no need to empty the fuel tank or carburetor prior to storage to avoid corrosion. Thus far, I am happy with my purchase.
This is my third Champion generator (second inverter). I've found all of them to be reliable and quality products.
Haven’t used it yet
