Drolet DB00400 Hunter Wood Burning Camp Stove New

I chose this tent stove since it was made by a company that makes woodstoves for homes, based in Canada I believe. I use a woodstove at home. I used this tent stove two nights and it's a good stove. It's heavy (a good thing) and solid. An averaged-sized man can carry it, awkwardly and for a short distance, and can lift it into, and out of a pickup, assuming no back issues. I use it in a tent with a 6 inch chimney. I use firebrick in it and a chimney damper, both recommended in the instructions. It doesn't smoke up the tent when opening the door - burning dry pine w/o bark. With the chimney damper closed, the stove needed to be re-stoked after 3 or 4 hours. The stove gives off a slight metallic odor when fired, which I think it normal and expect it to go away after a few more firings. I did not cook on it but expect to one of these trips. I purchased from FactoryPure, which delivered on time as expected. I'd buy from FactoryPure again.
