It's heavy like any stove of this power, so moving it into place was interesting! Once in place, I started it and ran it quite hot for 10 hours and it does give off the smell of the factory chemicals and paint for several hours, and at the beginning pushed some smoke out from the square hole at the back, so be prepared for that. We had all the windows and doors open all day long. So far the stove is excellent. It is big and takes big logs. It seems to burn really efficiently, and easily heats our 2800 sq ft home. In fact the first night as I left it with a few big logs and put the air input at about a third open, it was way too hot all night! This will easily serve my purpose of being able to leave it all night on very slow burn and be ready to flame up again in the morning. I was looking for a good value big stove to heat my whole house, but I didn't want to cheapest generic brands. This was the decent brand name that was reasonably priced that seemed to have all the features I wanted. So far, I have no complaints and I am happy with my purchase, which was shipped quickly with no issues.
I was hesitant to order from an unknown website, but the cost savings and reviews convinced me. So glad I did. The Drolet Escape 2100 I ordered came super fast, was well packaged, and delivery was smooth. Unpacking and installation went well, all items were as expected. Overall, this is one of the best major item ordering experiences I've had.

Excellent experience all around. Customer service was kind and super helpful when I called with questions before ordering. The item was shipped/received without any issue. Instructions for proper installation were clear. We’ve been using the stove for almost 2 weeks now and absolutely love it! This is a fantastic wood stove and it looks great too. One of the best features… being able to brush the ash into the sizable ash drawer from inside the fire box. If we ever have to buy another wood stove would definitely purchase this manufacturer again from this site. Thanks!
