Product Overview
The Grizzly G0856 is an 8-inch jointer designed for woodworkers who are ready to move beyond a benchtop or 6-inch machine. Its extra-long 72-inch cast-iron bed provides strong support for flattening and straightening longer boards, while the built-in mobile base makes it easier to position in a busy shop.
A 4-row helical cutterhead with 36 indexable carbide inserts delivers smooth, accurate cuts with quieter operation and reduced tear-out compared to traditional straight-knife designs. The inserts cut at a shearing angle for a cleaner finish, and the handwheel-adjusted infeed and outfeed tables make it easy to dial in jointing or rabbeting cuts up to 1/2 inch deep.
With a 3 HP single-phase motor, precision-ground cast-iron tables, and a rack-and-pinion adjustable fence with common angle stops, this machine is well suited for serious hobbyists, furniture makers, and small professional shops that need dependable performance and improved surface quality.
