Product Overview
The Grizzly T10502 Taper Attachment is a lathe accessory designed for the G0709 and G0824 14" x 40" gunsmith lathes. It adds the ability to cut precise inside and outside tapers without offsetting the tailstock or disengaging the cross slide, helping maintain normal turning setup while expanding the machine’s capability.
Built from cast iron and steel, this attachment offers a maximum taper length of 9", with a taper angle range of 0° to ±5° and taper per inch range of 0" to ±3". Scales at both ends show inches of taper per foot and taper angle, while a fine-thread adjustment knob allows accurate, controlled taper settings.
This attachment is well suited for machinists, gunsmiths, and lathe users who need repeatable taper cutting on compatible 14" x 40" machines. Once installed, it can be brought into use as needed by tightening the bed clamp bracket, without interfering with other turning operations.
