Product Overview
The Grizzly T10556 Taper Attachment Kit adds taper-turning capability to compatible 12" x 24" and 12" x 36" gearhead and gunsmith lathes, including the G4002, G4003, and G4003G. It is designed for producing precise inside and outside tapers without offsetting the tailstock or disengaging the cross slide.
This attachment can be engaged as needed by tightening the bed clamp bracket, allowing normal turning operations to continue without interference. Fine-thread adjustment helps dial in accurate taper settings, while scales at both ends show inches of taper per foot and taper angle for straightforward setup.
Built from cast iron and steel, this kit is suited for machinists, metalworking shops, and serious hobbyists who want greater control over taper work. It supports taper lengths up to 9" with a taper angle range of 0° to ±5°.
