The Grizzly T27431 8-inch plate shear is a bench-mounted cutting tool built for fast, clean rough cuts in flat stock and round stock. It handles ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as certain plastics, making it a versatile choice for fabrication, maintenance, and general shop work.
An extra-long handle helps increase leverage for easier cutting, while the spring-assisted hold-down helps keep material secure during use. Ground and hardened replaceable blades are designed for dependable cutting performance on sheet, plate, and bar stock.
With a blade length of 7-7/8 inches and a maximum cut length of 7 inches, this shear is well suited for hobbyists, metalworkers, and small shops that need a durable manual solution for quick cutoffs and rough shaping. It can cut up to 16-gauge material at full length, thicker stock on narrower widths, and round stock up to 3/8 inch in diameter.
