Studies have shown that regular solar cover use reduces pool heating costs by up to 85 percent, and chemical and evaporation loss by up to 60 percent. This solar blanket reel is compact and operated by a floating waterproof remote that can also be overridden if needed for safety. The Pool Boy is made of rust-proof powder-coated aluminum tubing, and can be used on pools up to 20 feet by 40 feet. The cover reel is FCC compliant and comes with a 40-foot cord that connects the motor inside the drive stand to the low-voltage transformer, which requires a 115V outlet. There's no more tugging on your solar cover or hand-cranking it on and off your pool. The Pool Boy II is a compact, easy-to-operate powered solar cover reel that is run by a waterproof remote control that even floats ─ just in case. Just plug the transformer into a standard 115 volt GFCI power outlet and enjoy the convenience of the reel's easy, hands-free operation.
