Product Overview
The Shop Fox D4918 is a 7-inch quick-action woodworking vise designed for mounting on a workbench for secure clamping during cutting, planing, assembly, and other bench tasks. Its heavy cast-iron construction, Acme screw, and polished guide rods provide solid holding power and smooth operation.
A quick-release lever disengages the screw so the jaw can slide in or out rapidly, making adjustments faster between setups. The vise offers an 8-inch maximum opening, 7-inch-wide jaws, and pre-drilled jaw faces for adding wood pads to help protect workpieces and improve grip.
Made for woodworkers, furniture makers, and serious DIY users, this vise fits benches 2-1/4 inches thick and larger, and can also be adapted for thinner benches with a shim. A height-adjustable bench dog adds extra support when working with longer boards.
