The South Bend SB1108 is a 15-inch variable-speed planer built for precise thicknessing and smooth surface finishing in serious woodworking shops. A 4-row helical cutterhead with 52 indexable carbide inserts uses a shearing cut to produce a cleaner finish with reduced tearout, especially on figured hardwoods.
