The South Bend SB1113 is a professional 12-inch jointer built for flattening faces, straightening edges, and preparing stock for accurate glue-ups and final milling. Its long 87-1/2 inch precision-ground cast-iron table provides stable support for larger boards, while the 5 HP motor delivers the power needed for demanding shop work.
A 4-row helical cutterhead with 56 indexable carbide inserts produces a smooth finish with reduced tearout, especially in figured or difficult hardwoods, and runs quieter than many straight-knife designs. The parallelogram table design allows smooth, precise adjustments, and the digital readout makes it easy to set infeed table height and repeat exact cut depths.
