initial problem

After second log somehow pump stayed on and stalled motor. Would not restart even after releasing the pressure. Hard to pull waited 2 days had to change the spark plug. Running ok now

What an amazing tool!!!!!

Not a bad little wood splitter but!

All in all satisfied with purchase, works great and easy to put together. Only issues were lower hose leaked and was hard to get it to stop. Also the wedge the ram pushes the wood to split, appears that the weld on both sides cracked and not sure how long this will last without a repair.

Overall Good Product

Price wise its great. Not a piece of wood that wouldn't split with this thing. However, I do wish the plunger would go all the way to the axe. Sometimes its about 4 inches short of the axe & does not go all the way through so I have to run it through a second time with an extra piece of wood (something small) to help. Other than that, I really like this product and will recommend to others in the future.

Extremely Happy Customer

This review might be a little long but stay with it. A good friend of mine purchased this splitter a couple years ago and was extremely happy with it. After checking out many options, and reading the customer reviews, I made the purchase. It arrived on time with only slight damage. The plastic funnel was shattered. I contacted support and after sending them pictures of this $4.00 item, a new one is in transit. You need the long narrow spout on the funnel so I purchased one at Harbor Freight as I wanted to split some wood.
As many reviews indicated, the instructions are not user friendly. It took me a couple hours assembling the unit paying careful attention to making sure the connections were very tight to eliminate any leaking.
I used the unit today. It started on the 2nd pull. I split close to a full cord or hard and soft wood (hemlock) without any issues. Overall, I can't say enough about this unit.
My only recommendation is to read and carefully follow all the instructions including before actually trying to split wood, having the hydraulic pump go back and forth 10 to 15 times then adding more hydraulic fluid.
