US Stove 5040I Pellet Stove Insert with Surround 1,800 sq. ft. 40,000 BTU New

Stove seemed to be missing some shipping packaging and there were some small parts missing and loose as a result when it arrived. Took a while, and a couple trips to the hardware store to get everything sorted and working. The surround that covers the rest of the fireplace opening is clearly an afterthought and very flimsy and poorly designed. I plan to build some brackets to bolt in behind it to help give it some reinforcement to stay in place. Finally, the manual is only nominally helpful. Especially the instructions for the control panel are vague and don't even cover everything. Took a lot of guessing and trial and error to fill in the gaps. One button I still have no idea how to use. And I am entirely unclear if I am doing all the cleaning procedures right since it says to do one thing in one part of the manual and something else on another page. In the end, it does nominally work and keeps the room comfortable with a thermostat wired in (not included!) for a very affordable price. If you can afford a higher quality stove, I would recommend spending the money. But this one will get the job done for tight budgets.

From the start of the purchase to receiving the pellet stove, the journey was very pleasant. We live in Washington state and the shipment arrived earlier than expected. It was a nice surprise! Once we got the insert set up and running we have enjoyed it so much. It will definitely cut our heating bill down considerably. We are so glad we made the purchase and Factory Pure was a pleasure to work with!! Would recommend to anyone!!

Received the 5040I Pellet stove and was installed by my installer.. Stove works well and is easy to use.. I did have a fuse on the control board blow, replaced it and it has been working as it should since then.. A wood stove throws hotter heat than this Pellet stove so something to think about.. Also even though it says US Stove it is made in China so if that bothers you then you may want to consider another stove.. It does meet the 75% efficiency rating and I believe this is the last year to get up to 30% off install cost and 30% cost of the stove deduction on your taxes.. US Stove does not have this model number on their certificate but they will provide you the number you will need to put on the form for the tax deduction.. It doesn't come in the paperwork with the stove so you have to call them and ask for it.. I've only had the stove for a couple of weeks so I can't give any information on longevity.. On high burn the stove blower is louder than I like but on a slow burn it's not bad. I don't own a decibel meter so can't post that information.. All in all I am happy with the purchase and the stove and it does look good in my living room fireplace..
