Factory Pure/Generac Model XT8500EFI

My overall experience is a 4.5. I give Factory Pure a 5 rating and Generac a 4.
I recommend Factory Pure to anyone who is looking for a good value and a good buying experience.
From my research I found that Generac makes the best generators. However, I found their customer service and instruction manual to be lacking and in need of some changes. Instead of their customer service being able to help with a problem, they referred me to 3 local service dealers to help resolve my problem. One of the service dealers said they no longer do business with Generac because Generac was too slow in paying them for warranty work. I eventually resolved my problem with one of the other service dealers. Their instruction manual did not tell me I had to charge the battery 24 hrs before I could turn the ignition key on to start it, so I had to call Generac for that info. Their manual doesn’t tell you that you have to fill the gas tank with a minimum of 2/3rds full for it start up. I had to call again to find that out. The manual states that the oil capacity is 1 quart. I added the 1 quart supplied with the generator and it started to over flow after adding close to 7/8ths of the quart. If you’re thinking I wasn’t on a level surface, I was.
Overall, this portable generator made more sense for me to buy and a much better value than a Generac standby generator which will cost you double the price to buy and install because of the service fees you will have pay to keep the warranty in effect. Buyers beware.

Battery was dead. It took four days to charge and it’s not holding the charge. Two receptacles are not working. Motor runs satisfactorily.

When I put it under a load, I'll let you know how it's works, Until then, the generator looks good!

Runs my 4 ton HVAC, Pool pump, all lights and fridge . Installed a soft start kit on AC unit to lower peak starting current draw from 92 amps to 35 amps....
