Evaporative Air Coolers
Evaporative air coolers are a highly energy-efficient solution to air conditioning problems. They cool ambient air endothermically, meaning that these machines absorb heat from air that passes through them. Typically, they involve the use of ice or a wick saturated with water. Evaporative air coolers have fewer moving parts than traditional free standing air conditioners, making them much lighter and requiring far less operating energy.
Generally, they will effectively cool areas of around 100 square feet in size. Recommended applications include dry or open spaces in close vicinity to people. Evaporative air coolers are perfect for areas that experience occasional or seasonal warmth, as well as for supplemental air conditioning.
