- Micro-Air's EasyStart 368 Soft Starter works on small to medium-sized generators, powering air conditioners at 65%-75% less power. With the soft starter installed, a generator can run smoothly even with the A/C set on high.
- An A/C compressor draws four to six times more power at startup when running on a generator, causing lights to dim or blink. Installing the EasyStart 368 soft starter will prevent this from happening as the starter helps protect other devices from a power surge.
- The EasyStart 368 soft starter for air conditioners is designed to keep your automotive, RV efficiently cooled during power emergencies. It's possible to start an air conditioning unit at optimal power, even with just one generator and other appliances running simultaneously.
- The EasyStart 368 soft starter allows you to use your cooling units after a weather disaster and when the power's out. Run two air conditioners on a 30-amp cord. The Micro-Air EasyStart has specialized fault checks that further protect the A/C compressor.
- This soft starter employs a 4-part start ramp sequence. It self-optimizes, resulting in the lowest possible startup current for all single-phase motors. EasyStart can support up to 72,000 BTU (6 ton) compressors and delivers a start current reduction of up to 75% of a compressor's LRA (locked-rotor amperage). It also supports both 115 and 230 VAC motors.
