Cummins A058M290 50A Parallel Kit For Onan P4500i New

Was very beneficial addition to my Cummins 4500.

Works great. Easy to hook up.

Could not be happier run a fool trailer we use lots power

(Continuation...) So after 2 hours of figuring out what was going on with the parallel kit, I will try to explain what was going on. I am getting the 50 amps. So in the generator when checking the power output of the 2 normal wall plugs, there is not a standard reading for a house. Normal house wall plugs show a reading of 120 on the left / ground and nothing on the right / ground from what the electrician told me. The generator was showing a reading of 60 on left / ground and 60 on the right / ground. SOOOOO! with the 50 amp parallel kit we could only get 60 on the right and 60 on the left but when combine the right and left you get 120. Maybe this isn't making sense however we did have to rework the box in the trailer since I have a 2 pull 50 amp. We had to put the red and black hots into 1 of the 50 amp slots and jump it to the other. That allows us to get the parallel kit to work normally with the two generators.

I received 2 of the 4500i generators a couple weeks ago ( on their own are the best generators) and when trying to run the parallel kit there is a bit of an issue. I have my trailer run with an 50 amp double pull and I am not getting the intended power output. I have a pair of electricians coming over today to work on the situation. I will let you know what conclusions we come up with. Possibly human error.

The graphics say the parallel cable is 50A however the description says it’s a 30A, which is right?
