I have not used yet. The inverter arrived very soon after ordering.
Added oil, charged the battery, and started right away using propane. Added gas and started right away on that as well. Remotes work good.
I bought this and took a chance! It met all I was looking for in 3500watt range when I was shopping around. Remote start and can run on propane is exactly what I was looking for to power my travel trailer. It powers my 15,000btu ac unit and I can run the microwave at the same time. It has worked flawlessly and I’ve ran it on propane the entire time. I’ve got 29 hours on it at time of this review. I would buy it again. Other campers around me comment on how quiet it is too. I couldn’t be happier.
I read the previous negative review and wanted to counter it. I received my unit, and it arrived in perfect shape. After preparing it, I hooked up the propane, and pushed the starter. Within 2 seconds it started and ran smoothly. After break in, I hooked it up to my trailer, it started the 15,000 BTU air conditioner instantly. I also ran my microwave and a hair dryer at the same time. The unit never paused and kept running so quietly. This is my 3rd generator for RV use. The other different brand generators had differing serious problems as well as were smelly gas only. The use of clean propane is wonderful! The Propane attachment is small and compact too which is nice for storage. Thank you "factorypure". I recommend this heartily.
Will rarely start. Never will it start on propane. If you can get it to fire up on gas, you can switch it over to propane easily and it will run well. Problem is getting it started in the first place. I've used it twice now, with much failure. I'm taking it to Home Depot tomorrow to get my money back and buy a different brand.
Also, it comes with two key fobs. They do not work. When I called Ai Power about it, they stated that they haven't received information on how to program remotes yet. He took my number and said he will call me when that info is available. Really? He also said that they don't start well on propane. Really? $1000 piece of crap! Now, here we sit at our remote campsite with no generator.
