The unit was very easy to install. Simple instructions and videos for help. I may have spent $120 in Pex, Shark bites, and some other tools/supplies. The Unit did not kick on right away, we would have to turn a secondary faucet on to kick the unit on. Then it would heat up very nicely. Some times, the water would not get "HOT" ( above 130 degrees, roughly estimating) unless I turned the control on the unit down for the volume of water. The customer service was above par, as today I called explaining I had lost my manual and wanted to perform some maintenance. Upon inspection afer removing the cover, I noticed the 2nd igniter was broken. The service rep explained what is was and what it did, along with a possible future piece that may need replacing ( a water valve is missing a screw, it is on the bottom near the cold water intake adn hass a drip every 20 minutes or so.) and he suggested to get one of them now as well. The unit is covered under warranty still, it is 2 years old out of the 5 year warranty. Th rep also explained the 3 options for shipping and costs. for $12 I should have a part by Tuesday, but perhaps as early as Saturday ( it is December 17th and all postal services are busy) . I would love to rate this higher, but I cannot. I recommend buying the next stronger sized unit, mine is the 3.1 L ( we have 1 kitchen, 1 bath and the basin sink/laundry hook ups.)
